We usually suggest two-part polyurethane for these spots, since it cures harder than waterborne enamel. We also coat the bottom edges and toe kicks fully, because that is where water and salt from winter boots collect.
Setup, travel, masking and containment are paid for once when these rooms are added to a kitchen job. Coming back months later for the laundry room means paying for all of that again.
